The same rules of conduct apply on the MegaBIT premises as on the public
street. In other words: any and everything that is not allowed outside
of the premesis, is not allowed on the premesis either.
Furthermore, we have the following rules:
- If a member of the organisation finds that a visitor is in violation
of any dutch law or local rule, the visitor can be removed from the
premises and charges may be pressed with the police.
- Any requests of the MegaBIT crew should be promptly and fully followed
up. Crew members can be recognized by their clothing. If any request is
denied, removal of the visitor may be the result.
- If, for any reason, a visitor is removed from the premises, no refund
of the entrance fees will be made.
- Copying and distributing illegal music, films and software, along with
any other material, is explicitly prohibited.
- Campfires are not allowed. Barbecues are allowed, but only under
constant supervision of an adult.
- Amplified music is allowed, regarding that it does not disturb other
people (especially the people that live in the neighborhood, but also the
other visitors). Any sound should stay well under the limits laid down
by the police. Any complaints with regard to excess sound will be exclusively
judged by the organisation and/or the police. Between 02.00 and 09.00 CET
there may not be any sounds, including unamplified (vocal or otherwise)
sound.
- It is not allowed for visitors to touch any property, equipment
or cables of other individuals, without prior explicit permission
of the owner.
- Taking along food stuffs and drinks for private use is allowed. Selling
food or drinks is prohibited.
- Motorized vehicles such as cars, motor bikes, mopeds and other types, are
not allowed on the premises, not even for (un)loading equipment. The only
exception to this rule are campers and caravans. Owners of campers are
caravans should ask a member of the organisation for a place on the premises
and will be guided by a member of the crew while moving the vehicle.
- Garbage is to be placed in disposal units, which are provisioned by the
organisation. No littering is allowed.
- Minors (under the age of 18 years) are only allowed on the premises
accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult will be held responsible
for the minor and all of his/her actions.
- The organisation can not be held responsible for any damages in any
shape or form. Connecting (computer) equipment to the network and powergrid
is entirely on the risk of the visitor. The organisation can also not be
held responsible for any damages or loss/theft of private property. Entering
the premises is entirely on the risk of the visitor.
- The powergrid is meant for computers and lighting and is provisioned
as such. Connecting equipment which consumes large amounts of current is
therefor not allowed.
- In addition to section 13, especially ovens, microwave ovens,
water boilers, heaters, refrigerators and other (kitchen) equipment
is explicitly prohibited.
- Special caution should be taken with flammable material, such as heaters,
stoves and . Open fire is prohibited.
- In the case of an unresolvable dispute, the organisation has the last
say in things. The organisation's decision is final and undisputable.
